Inspired by an exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. , artists Marianne Van Den Broek & Chris Guinto present “Africa”, a hand-sculpted creation made out of 20 tons of fill sand specifically situated under the african sausage tree at the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden.
Marianne and Chris are veterans of the global sand festival circuit. While residing in Key West, Marianne established the Sandbox of Key West, displaying eye-catching whimsical sand creatures in an urban landscape.
