Robert Hickman
As a sculptor, Robert Hickman is primarily interested in public art that is
integral to its surroundings. His work is often humorous and provocative. He
has been the recipient of many awards and public commissions, including a
permanent public sculpture at Capital Community College in Harford, CT. He
was also a finalist for the Brooklyn 9-11 Memorial Monument. His Street Sign
Project is a continuation of a successful piece that he exhibited in Russia
last year.
Hickman is currently an Assistant Professor at Hunter College in New York. He
lives in Brooklyn.
