Cuban-born artist Pavel Miguel Jimenez states, “Talking
too much about my art has never been my intention. I trust
that my works of art explain themselves. I do my best to remain
elementary and comprehensible for all people. The trunks and
branches used for the construction of some installations are
remains of trees uprooted by the last storm. I have grown
up under these trees and they have let me find health and
confidence. For that reason, my art is some sort of rebirth.”
Passionate and lyrical, Jimenez’s impressive body of
sculptures, paintings, drawings and performances speak simply
and powerfully for themselves. He lives in Germany.
