Joe Chesla's minimalist work shows his affinity for the ideas
of "encompassing (to include in entirety, to cause or
bring something about) and accordance (a state in which things
are in harmony). These pieces work with a simplicity of material
and form in the presentation of enigmatic pairings, to protect
the presence and beauty of an innocuous material." Chesla
is an Assistant Professor of Sculpture/Design at the St. Louis
Community College at Meramec, in Missouri.
