Jeff Downing is a professor of sculpture at San Francisco
State University. His work represents a growing movement
of freestanding, large-scale ceramic work and is part of
a great tradition of Californian ceramicists. His dog imagery
has been seen at Fort Zachary Taylor for the past three
years. Jeff is interested in “developing a better
understanding between human and animals” in myth and
narratives.
